Ruzhou carried out a “Learning from Lei Feng” focus activity at Ruzhou Theater on March 5. Guo Jie, Ruzhou’s vice-mayor, and Zhang Guiming, Party member of the CPPCC of Ruzhou and deputy county class cadre, came to the activity site.

Many units and streets set up over 30 volunteer service spots during the event, offering haircuts, blood pressure measurements, legal consultations and home appliance maintenance. Ruzhou’s industrial and commercial bureau organized over 80 people from 12 shops to offer free volunteer services. Nearly thousands of volunteers from various industries came to the activity site and helped people solve problems using their specialties.

Students from Ruzhou Second Middle School and Wangsong Primary School energetically helped clean public facilities and streets. Ruzhou’s fire brigade, justice bureau, water supply company and many other units set up service spots to learn from Lei Feng activities.

More than 5,000 pieces of publicity material detailing common safety knowledge were given out. Over 2,000 people got help from 600 volunteers at the event.
