The newly developed jade-like porcelain from Hongbao Ru Chinaware Co. in Ruzhou was chosen as its 2012 special gift by the Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization (OCMCO).
According to an insider, the company has been developing the jade-like porcelain for two years along with Zhengzhou University. It uses the traditional Ru porcelain process, incorporating Ru porcelain glaze with jade texture and another jade-like translucent mixture to make it appear translucent and jade-like. The porcelain is attractive with its elegant color, bringing a strong impact and new artistic effect.
Recommended by the media, the porcelain appealed to the OCMCO and was chosen as their special gift in 2012.
It is understood that OCMCO has chosen 6 kinds of jade-like porcelain as its annual special gift for presenting at high-level social activities, especially for gifting heads of state from foreign countries.
