During the 2011 Overseas Chinese media meeting held on Nov 23 at Sofitel Hotel in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, Ruzhou porcelain artworks were accepted and collected by ten overseas Chinese media including the United States' and Indonesia's International Daily.
The 2011 Annual Overseas Chinese Media Meeting (Seventh Wenweipo International Cooperation Forum) was attended by 30 overseas Chinese media companies. The theme was to discuss how to boost economic development in Central China and help the rise of Central China.
Initiated by Hong Kong-based Wenweipo, or Wenhui Daily, in 2009, the Overseas Chinese media comprises members from the United States, Canada, France and other countries and regions.
On Nov 21, Wang Zhenfang, a Master of Arts and Handicrafts and art director of Hongbao Ruzhou Porcelain Company, handed the Three Goats Cup, the masterpiece of the company, to Xiong Delong, the president of Indonesia’s International Daily and president of Xiong Group. Xiong is also a member of Obama administration's think tank and president of China's Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia. Xiong, a foreign-based Chinese person, took the porcelain and said, "I know it means blessing and represents the culture in central China. I like it very much."
At the meeting, Wang Shucheng, president of Hong Kong Wenweipo; Rong Futian, editor-in-chief of Taiwan Want Daily; Yu Qingwen, president of Philippines Siong Po; Liu Cheng, president of Chu-nichishinpou; Zhang Danhua, president of Asia Times; Liang Zhongwen, president and editor of Semi-Month Tabloid; Men Zongwei, president of Canada Business News; Li Zhuohui, editor of Indonesia International Times, and Wen Yang, president of United Chinese Press, all received Ruzhou porcelain artworks, including the Three Goats Cups, vases and bowls with magnolia and lotus on their bodies.
The leading figures in overseas Chinese media commented that the artworks feature simple and elegant design, delicate craftsmanship and are valuable collections.
The ten overseas Chinese media representatives wanted to take advantage of the meeting to promote Ruzhou porcelain to the world.
