From Sept 6 to 9 during the 2nd China Quju Opera Art Festival, a photo exhibition was held, themed Home of Chinese Quju Opera. The exhibition took place in the lobby at the first floor of Ruzhou municipal radio and television station building.

Following the success of the first session of China Quju Opera Art Festival in 2009, Ruzhou city applied for the title- Home of Chinese Quju Opera. In August 2011, Chinese Dramatists Association decided to confer the title of Home of Chinese Quju Opera to Ruzhou.

The photo exhibition of Home of Chinese Quju Opera was jointly held by Ruzhou archives bureau, Ruzhou Photographer Association and Quju Opera Art Research Institute.

The show displays brief introductions of famous Quju Opera artists in the early days, and stage photos of top 10 actors and actresses of Quju Opera. Photos were taken in recent years to reveal the unique charms of Quju opera from various perspectives and local people’s enthusiasm for the opera.
