In the morning of Sept 9, the four-day 2nd China Quju Opera Art Festival came to a successful conclusion.

During the art festival, Ruzhou city staged plenty of activities, including the opening ceremony, held performances of excellent Quju Opera plays, appraisal of top 10 rising stars of modern Chinese Quju Opera, top 10 performers of modern Chinese Quju Opera, lifetime achievement award for artists of modern Chinese Quju Opera, economic and trade fair to attract investment and Chinese Quju Opera development forum. Forty agreements were signed worth 14 billion yuan.

In the morning of Sept 9, the closing ceremony was held at Ruzhou Theatre. Awards were given on the occasion. The organizing committee of the art festival issued premiums and certificates to winners of the first, second, third prizes and honorable prizes for thesis of Chinese Quju Opera Development Forum. It also presented prizes to winners of top 10 rising stars of modern Chinese Quju Opera, top 10 performers of modern Chinese Quju Opera, and artists of lifetime achievement in modern Chinese Quju Opera.

A grand performance was held after the closing ceremony. The award-winning artists put on splendid performances for the audience.
