Ethiopian Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin and deputy mayor of the Pingdingshan city on July 1,2011

Ethiopian Ambassador to China Seyoum Mesfin met with Huang Xiangli, the deputy mayor of the city of Pingdingshan, on July 1, after coming to the area to look for further cooperation opportunities and to get a better understanding with the city. 

In the deputy mayor's welcoming address, he described Pingdingshan's abundance of natural resources and history and culture, and added that it has a promising future in its economic development if it makes good use of its industrial advantages.

Seyoum Mesfin said that Ethiopia is a country that has seen rapid economic growth and that it and Pingdingshan complement each other in agriculture, mineral wealth, and tourism possibilities, so they have great potential in cooperation. He also invited Pingdingshan officals to visit his country for extended talks and cooperation.

The Ethiopian delegation will visit the Pinggao Group Lt Co, a high-tech company with expertise in research and development of high voltage equipment, which could help in developing the Ethiopian market in the electric-power facility sector.
