"Demands for wild chrysanthemums grown in Lushan county, Henan province, surged these days,” a farmer in Lushan told the reporters on Nov 8 while loading wild chrysanthemums into a truck.

Lushan, located in the central part of Henan province, is a county subordinated to Pingdingshan city.

A larger number of foreign businessmen have come to Lushan county to purchase wild chrysanthemums this year, compared with that of the last year.

Wild chrysanthemum is a kind of Chinese medicinal crop blooming in October every year and having a good effect on fatigue and hypertension.

A farmer from Tiegou village said he could reap 150kg chrysanthemums and earn 50-60 yuan every day. Many women and the elderly said they could earn 30-40 yuan every day by selling wild chrysanthemums stripped on the mountain.
