Ma Xinming, director of the Beijing Leading Group of Poverty Alleviation and Development, Yuan Jifu, vice president of Party school of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Gao Yi, deputy director of Henan Provincial Commission of Development and Reform, and Huo Haosheng, mayor of Nanyang city, attended the ceremony.
Ma expressed his gratitude to the people of Nanyang for their contributions to the middle route project of South-North Water Transfer Project. He said that in the past five years, exchanges between Beijing and Nanyang have increased and formed an all-round pattern of cooperation.
Gao said that it is the responsibility of Henan province to serve the whole country and to build and manage the Henan section of the middle route project of the South-North Water Transfer Project.
At the symposium, five guests, including Yuan, delivered speeches respectively on the themes of official education and industry cooperation between Beijing and Nanyang.
At the signing ceremony, eight cooperation projects, including the leadership academy of the South-North Water Transfer Project co-established by the Party School of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee, were signed.
Leaders and guests also unveiled the Research Center for Aging Industry (Nanyang) of the National Development and Strategy Research Institute of Renmin University of China during the event.
