Nanyang Red Cross volunteers bring service to schools

Volunteers from a Nanyang Red Cross volunteer service team visited local students from families with financial difficulties in Nanyang city.

The volunteers came to the No. 1 Middle School in Liaohe town and No. 6 Central Primary School and Qinghua Middle School in Qinghua town in Nanyang’s Wolong district to send assist fund to students in distress.

The Red Cross volunteer service is a non-profit activity involving all levels of Red Cross organizations and Red Cross volunteers. Red Cross volunteers provide humanitarian services to society at large and individuals. Volunteer service is one of the seven basic principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It is an important way to practice the humanitarian concept: "No volunteer service, no Red Cross movement".
