Mid-Autumn festival, on the 15th day of the eighth month on the lunar calendar every year, falls on Sept 13 this year. Nanyang provided travelers with a spectacular festive experience.
Transportation authorities have announced that during the Mid-Autumn Festival highway traffic will not be free of charge and that temporary railway measures from Nanyang to Zhengzhou have been introduced.
The railway adjustments run from September 12 to 15, a total of four days. During the holiday, the Nanyang-Zhengzhou railway section is expected to transport 92,000 passengers, an increase of about 30,000 compared with the same period last year.
Four new intercity bus lines have been added from Sept 6 onwards from Nanyang to Xinye, Tanghe, Zhenping and Fangcheng. According to the passenger flow data, the station will increase ticket window services to ensure the passengers’ travel needs can be met timely.
Civil aviation is offering a 25 percent discount on tickets before the festival.
At present, flight ticket fares on Nanyang-Lanzhou and Nanyang-Urumqi routes are 65 percent and 40 percent off respectively. It is expected that there will be a 25 percent discount before the festival.
So far there are enough departure tickets as well as surplus flight tickets to Hangzhou, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The tickets to Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Guangzhou are running short, but tickets to other popular domestic destinations are relatively sufficient.
