Nanyang has rolled out a series of measures in response to the new policy of national customs clearance integration which has taken effect from July 1.
Headed by the General Administration of Customs, the customs clearance integration has two major features, namely, “one declaration for all” and “self-declaration, self-pay”.
The former allows companies to declare cargo and taxes with a single submission, while the latter puts the time-consuming process of examination behind the release of goods.
Both new systems were adopted to facilitate trade and streamline administration procedures. Meanwhile, a single-window platform will be used at all ports across the country by the end of this year.
All services including, declaration of cargo, transportation and payment of taxes and fees, will be available from a single window.
As of now, Nanyang has dealt with 20 customs declarations, of which four were import entry and two were “self-declaration, self-pay”.
