Talent plan in Neixiang to boost local economy

Aspiring to boost its local economy, Neixiang county in Nanyang, Henan province has implemented a plan to improve its entrepreneurial environment, attracting top talents of all sectors.

The plan first involved creation of an entrepreneurship platform, which has welcomed 193 industrial enterprises, 67 service sector and 30 agricultural sector firms. The platform is now a startup hotbed. Academician workstations and technique research centers introducing over a thousand top talents were also established to provide professional guidance for entrepreneurial development.

Secondly, the plan attached great importance to talent training, with 36 sessions of specialized tutoring being conducted. The training has cultivated thousands of political talents and over 10,000 agricultural talents.

An annual total of 1 million yuan ($0.184 million) was set aside for financial rewards for people who have developed patentable technologies and made scientific research achievements. The rewards are to encourage them to select a career in Neixiang, and regular symposiums have been held to explore working in the county, attracting over 20,000 high-level individuals.

The talent plan has injected strong energy into Neixiang's economic development.
