Xichuan promotes tourism in Beijing

Xichuan county in Nanyang, Henan province, held a press conference in Chaoyang district, Beijing, on April 20, as a part of its tourism publicity month.

More than 300 travel agencies and up to 30 news media from Henan province, Beijing and the central government were invited to take part.

Both government officials from Chaoyang district and Xichuan county showed their willingness to strengthen cooperation, share resources and optimize the tourism environment so as to promote mutual development of the local industry.

To encourage Chaoyang travel agencies to increase tourist groups to Xichuan, the county will offer preferential policies and rewards. Xichuan will also offer 50 percent off ticket prices at local scenic spots for Chaoyang tourism enterprises as well as providing top-quality services.

Xichuan county has abundant tourism resources as an important part of the Funiu Mountain World Geopark. It also has a national-level wetland reserve, provincial scenic spots and the ecological sightseeing belt of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project.

Xichuan county signed a cooperation agreement with the Chaoyang district in Beijing in 2015, opening up special tourism routes.
