Jutan Ancient Street, in Neixang county in Nanyang, Henan province, will host entertaining activities and performances in celebration of the Lantern Festival on Feb 22.
The activities will include dragon and lion dances, yangko dancing, stilt walking, a guessing game, a large number of dramatic performances and festival foods.
The street, located in the Neixiang Local Magistrate's Office Historical and Cultural Blocks, is an ideal, scenic location for the festival to take place as it has many leisure, eating and retail outlets.
The Jutan Ancient Street has undergone a lot of development in recent years, with the investment and expansion project still ongoing.
The project of Neixiang Local Magistrate's Office Historical and Cultural Blocks has a planned investment of 760 million yuan ($116.58 million). The completed area so far has exceeded 115,000 square meters with 106 commercial tenants, 91 of which currently operating.
