Cloud data center up and running in Central China

The city of Nanyang, Henan province has had an opening ceremony for a new Smart City Cloud Data Center, on July 8 with the vice mayor, Zhang Mingti, taking part.

Zhang told the gathering that the provides a foundation for smart city work in Nanyang, then went on to say, "The next step is for our departments to work together on data collection and management standards and to see that the center runs effectively and to make full use of the center for smart city construction in Nanyang. "

Afterwards, city officials visited the cloud data center management site and heard an explanation by staff members of China Mobile's Nanyang branch on how to use smart travel and other service applications the center provides.

The cloud data center is an important part of Nanyang's smart city 2014-18 development plan and is expected to help it integrate government information sources and improve administration while setting up a smart city.
