Zhang Zhongjing Medicine Culture Festival

From Sept 20 to Oct 10 every year, the Zhang Zhongjing Medicine Culture Festival is celebrated in Nanyang, the capital of traditional Chinese medicine in China.

Nanyang is the hometown of Zhang Zhongjing, a famous medical scientist in the East Han Dynasty (AD 25–220). It is a natural storehouse of medicine with 2,357 species of natural Chinese traditional medicinal herbs totaling over 250 million kilograms.

Since 2002, the Zhang Zhongjing Medicine Culture Festival has been held consecutively in Nanyang, a place richly endowed by nature with TCM resources. The event forcefully drives the development of the TCM industry, invites investment and expedites the opening up of Nanyang.
