Nanyang's landscapes feature mountains and water. Currently, there are six national and provincial natural reserves and eight national and provincial forest parks. In 2013, the city received 35.02 million visitors from home and abroad, increasing 18.2 percent from the previous year. The number of foreign visitors was 16,700, up by 4.8 percent. The total tourism revenue was 18 billion yuan ($2.94 billion) with an increase of 18.4 percent. At the end of 2013, there were 34 A-level tourist attractions, among which 13 spots were above the 4A level. There are 81 star hotels and 131 domestic and international travel agencies.
