On June 28, 2010, Rongcheng county of Hebei’s Baoding city signed long-term partnership pacts with over 400 enterprises in Southern China on the Rongcheng clothing trade meeting in Shanghai.

The meeting, organized by the Rongcheng government, attracted designers, producers and merchants from Shanghai municipality, Jiangsu, Zhejiang province, among other Chinese provinces and cities, as well as delegations from Italy and Japan.

Four strategic cooperation pacts were also signed between the Rongcheng clothing industry and Shanghai garment industry society, the Zhejiang chamber of commerce in Shanghai, American Chinese Business Association and Anhui Baima Business Management Co.

“This time we come here mainly to promote the regional brands and clothing brands of Rongcheng, in the hope of attracting more investment and providing a broader platform and wider cooperation opportunities for our enterprises to develop,” said Rongcheng Party Secretary Zhang Hao.

The county governor, Li Shaoxiang, also said: “We’ll spare no effort to support the enterprises’ development by strengthening project-building and inviting investment.”

Ten days ago, Zhang Hao and Li Shaoxiang came to Shanghai ahead of the clothing delegation and held a meeting with enterprises from China and abroad, introducing Rongcheng clothing industry and Rongcheng’s city development projects.

After 30 years of development, Rongcheng clothing has became a major clothing city in North China, boasting 830 garment enterprises and 1,800 workshops.
