Xihu Longjing tea auction in Hangzhou

Bidders compete with each other during a Xihu Longjing tea auction held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on April 5, 2012.

The highest bidder at the auction offered to buy a portion of Mingqian Longjing, a premium variety produced from tender sprouts harvested before the Qingming Festival, at 60,000 yuan ($9,510) per kilogram.
