An exhibition at the National Art Museum of China will display more than 100 flower-and-bird paintings by Hunan province native Wang Hanshan (1924-2000) from March 16-29.
Wang is celebrated for his vivid depictions of rural life in the southern provinces. Born into a poor farming family in Shuangfeng county, Wang studied at the Nanjing School of Art in Jiangsu province and later at Hangzhou National College of the Arts in Zhejiang province.
