A direct flight from the city of Anshun, Guizhou province to the resort city of Sanya in Hainan, has just opened, on March 31, as an extension of the flight from Chongqing to Anshun, using a CRJ900 aircraft made by Bombardier.

In commenting on the new connection, Du Tao, the GM of Anshun's Civil Aviation and Tourism Development Co, said,"Sanya and Anshun are both well-known destinations, while Chongqing is the largest city in that area, so the flight connect the cities directly and is a way to boost business and tourism in the three."

Anshun is hoping to bring more visitors to its Huangguoshu Waterfall and Dragon Palace, which are national AAAAA scenic spots, and other tourism resources as it improves the quality of tourism services and, according to Liang Xiurong, vice-GM of the Huangguoshu Airport, "This flight can meet our highest expectations, since many tourists prefer visiting Anshun in summer, and going to Sanya in winter, and Chongqiong is a transportation hub for the southwest."

This new flight leaves Chongqing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Anshun has six airlines serving Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Kunming, Shanghai and Sanya.
