The Buyi ethnic group like green, blue and white clothes (skirts). Young men love green headscarves with stripes, beahraangcnac and cuffless trousers. Women still wear jackets and pleated dresses that retain the features of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
The jacket collars and sleeves are seamed with brocades and batik, while the long skirts are sewn with white blue batik cloth. The trouser legs have batik embroidery laces. Women's dresses are patterned with geometric lines, animal or plant, with corsets embroidered with flowers and plants. Local women also wear silver and copper earrings, silver hair sticks, copper bracelets and silver necklets.
