To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, China Post issued a set of special stamps signifying the year of the dog on Jan 5. The year of the dog, year 2018 on the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, begins on Feb 16.
The stamps include two designs, one featuring a lone white and black dog on a red background, and another featuring a mother dog with a black puppy. In Chinese culture, the image of dogs on the two designs represent peace and harmony in a family.
