Talking about the battles of fighting excessive emission, the Foreign Secretary's Special Representative for Climate Change and Chairman of the Future Cities Catapult cited a Chinese proverb, "We have to wade across the stream by feeling the way."
"The risk of climate change can be reduced only when the greenhouse gas emission close to zero. I think it is a long way to go and we are approaching the goal every day," he added.
As many as 500 government officials, scholars and experts were in the forum to discuss the strategies on tackling with emission issues and achieving a low-carbon environment.
