The China Environmental Monitoring Station released an air quality report for 74 cities in February. Guiyang's comprehensive index made the top 10 nationwide, reported the Guiyang Ecological Civilization Construction Committee.

In January, Guiyang was ranked 26.

Experts in environmental protection said: "The weather conditions in February are good for the diffusion of PM2.5. The Guiyang Environmental Protection Department also strengthened air pollution management and supervision resulting in improved air quality in February."
