Hechi sees steady industrial output growth in Q1

Hechi's industrial output increased by 29.28 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021, while its industrial added value climbed by 20.9 percent year-on-year, according to officials from the Hechi municipal bureau of industry and information technology.
Hechi achieved rapid development in key industries in the first quarter of the year. The industrial output value of the nonferrous metal industry increased by 43.5 percent year-on-year; the specialty drinks industry increased by 41.11 percent; the building materials industry increased by 39.14 percent; the forest product processing industry increased by 7.98 percent and the cocoon and silk industry increased by 2.37 percent.
The output value of the city's electronic information industry shows a high growth rate of 606 percent year-on-year, while the growth of the biomedicine industry was 30.68 percent. Hechi's battery manufacturing achieved a growth of 37.46 percent.
In addition, the city's output of 10 kinds of nonferrous metal products increased by 10.9 percent in the first quarter; its cement clinker production saw a growth of 18.7 percent; the production of wood-based panels increased by 29.6 percent; while the growth of liquor production was 49.2 percent.
An official from the Hechi municipal bureau of industry and information technology said that the city has followed the "whole industrial chain" development concept this year, strengthening the foundations of the business economy.
He added that the bureau has been striving to solve the problems existing in the construction of industrial projects, to speed up the progress of project construction, and to create a good business environment for enterprises.
