The construction of two expressways in Hechi has made progress, Hechi Daily reported on March 13.
The Du'an-Bama section of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway in Hechi, with its main line stretching 119.13 kilometers, passes Du'an, Dahua and Bama Yao autonomous county. It is a key component in Guangxi's goal of giving all counties in the region access to an expressway.
The construction of the Du'an-Bama section of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway started in December 2017 and is expected to be put into operation in July this year.
In Qinlan village, Bama's Xishan town, construction started on the first tunnel of the Tian'e-Bama Expressway, the first two-way six-lane expressway in Hechi.
The Tian'e-Bama Expressway, which is being built at a cost of around 28.45 billion yuan ($4.37 billion), will have a 107.8 km main line with six connecting lines. The designated top speed of the expressway is expected to be 100 km per hour.
The Tian'e-Bama Expressway is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of December 2023.
