The Rongshui-Hechi Expressway has entered the final stage of construction and is scheduled to be completed, as well as opened to traffic on Nov 28, one year and one month earlier than originally planned.

The Rongshui-Hechi Expressway spans a total length of 105.69 kilometers. The main line adopts two-way four-lane expressway standards, and the design speed is 100 km per hour.

The expressway starts near Hongling village, Rong'an county, Liuzhou and goes west through Hemu town, Rongshui Miao autonomous county, Luocheng Mulao autonomous county, Siba Town, Tianhe town, Xiangbei township, as well as Anma township in Yizhou district, finally ending in Desheng town of Yizhou district. It has seven interchanges along the line.

The Rongshui-Hechi Expressway is an important part of the transit passages from Guizhou, Sichuan, and Chongqing to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as cities in Guangxi like Guilin, Liuzhou, and Hezhou. It is also a convenient channel for Guizhou province to connect with north and central Guangxi.

After completion, the expressway will further improve Guangxi's outbound highway network, opening a new land route for Southwest China to Southeast Asian countries.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
