Investment projects start construction in Hechi

From Jan 1 to May 15, 25 projects, with a total investment of 8.83 billion yuan ($1.24 billion), of central enterprises, private enterprises, foreign enterprises, and enterprises from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have started construction.
During the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, Hechi has organized 15 online promotion events and live streaming promotion meetings to attract investment. The main leaders of the city have also conducted meetings with more than 30 batches of merchants, such as China Power Investment Corporation and Hong Kong Causeway Bay Group, as well as inspections in enterprises, such as Silk Road Holding Group, Chilwee Group, and High Fashion International Group.
As of May 15, 28 projects of central enterprises are under negotiation, with a total investment of 31.8 billion yuan. Four projects have been signed, with a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan, and two projects have been started, with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan.
At present, there are 42 foreign-invested enterprises in Hechi, with a total investment of $850 million, a registered capital of $750 million, a contractual foreign capital of $650 million, and a cumulative actual use of foreign capital of $74 million. Among the investment enterprises, 27 are from Hong Kong, five are from Taiwan, four are from the US, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, while two are from Macao, Malaysia, and the Russian Federation.
To date, the number and investment of enterprises from the Greater Bay Area have significantly increased in Hechi, with more than 16 major projects being signed in 2020.
The Hechi Federation of Industry and Commerce has carried out investment inspections of well-known private enterprises in Hechi to promote the implementation of the projects. On May 12, more than 20 private entrepreneurs from Guangdong province launched investigations in Dahua Yao autonomous county and initially reached an agreement on intentional investment on two projects.
