Intl bike race takes place in Hechi

The first Rim Hongshui River Mountain Bike Race took place in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 23, with more than 100 mountain bikers from home and abroad in attendence.
Hongshui River is the "Mother River" of Hechi, running 459 kilometers through five counties.

The racing route traverses seven local counties including Nandan, Fengshan, Donglan, Bama and Dahua Yao autonomous county, covering a cycling distance of 415 km.
The route, believed to be the longest racing route in China, will be a great challenge for the competitors who will also appreciate the stunning landscape of the region.

Sponsored by the Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the race aims to promote Hechi's rich tourism resources, longevity culture and local customs.
The race will last until Dec 29, with rewards totaling up to 165,600 yuan ($23,800).
