National Literature establishes creation base in Bama

China Writers Association held a plaque awarding ceremony at the Bama Yao autonomous county on June 9 for the National Literature Bama Creation Base.
Over 200 literature fans from all walks of life took part. Zhao Yanbiao, associate editor of National Literature, hosted the ceremony.
National Literature is the only nationwide nationalities literary monthly magazine in China, run by China Writers' Association and sponsored by China Writers Publishing House. Since the first magazine was published in 1981, it has provided over 50 million words of novels, poems, essays, comments and reportage to readers and helped promote the prosperity and development of Chinese literature of multi ethnic groups.
Feng Haifeng, Bama county secretary, mentioned that the beautiful scenery, colorful ethnic cultures and characteristic tourism resources are inexhaustible sources in literature creation.
Shi Yining, chief editor of National Literature praised the new base. He said it not only adds a new base of the magazine, but also helps promote the cultural construction of Bama by offering support from a national-level literary platform. He hoped the base can organize activities actively so that writers and literature fans can create more excellent works.
