The Luocheng Mulao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi, was flooded by heavy rain on May 15.

The maximum rainfall reached 236 millimeters.

According to Hechi hydrology and water resources bureau, a flood warning was in effect in Xiaochang'an town in Luocheng.

The rain caused flash floods and some parts of local farmlands were submerged.

Local residents are mobilized to reduce damage. The scale of the disaster is still under calculation. On the same day, Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan all suffered heavy rain, the strongest in South China this year.
