Average monthly salary in Guangxi reaches 3,740 yuan in Q2

The average monthly salary of the people in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region reached 3,740 yuan ($584.56) in the second quarter of 2015, according to a report released by the Guangxi Talent Network System on Aug 13.

This quarter's salary represents an increase of nearly 2.6 percent compared with the first quarter's 3,645 yuan and an increase of 12.24 percent compared with the 3,332 yuan of the same period in 2014. The average salary expected by job seekers is 3,903 yuan, 163 yuan higher than the current average salary.

The top five job categories with the highest salary in the report are operating management, security and investment, banking, real estate and intermediary agent, and consulting. While the five lowest-salary jobs are in public security and household services, catering and entertainment, administration and logistics services, storage and transportation, as well as hotel and tourism.

The highest average salary in any of the job categories reaches 7,843 yuan per month, while the lowest stands at 2,274 yuan.
