Football training center agreement signed in Dongxing

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement for the Chinese Teenager Football Training Center (Dongxing Base) was held in Dongxing, Fangchenggang, on July 3.

Zhou Gang, mayor of Dongxing, and Chai Yong, general manager of Dongxing New Greenland Sports Development Co, signed the agreement.

The Chinese Teenager Football Training Center (Dongxing Base) will be located east of Xuehai Road, west of Fubo Cultural Park, and north of Changhu Road. It plans to cover 462 mu (30.8 hectares) with a total investment of 850 million yuan ($136.94 million).

The construction will include a football school, a football base camp and a football amusement park. The school will mainly be for football training and teaching. With a construction area of 242 mu, the school will include 24 football fields of different sizes and supporting facilities such as dormitories, a conference and training center, audio-visual teaching classrooms, restaurants, basketball courts and a swimming pool.

The football base camp and park will cover 220 mu land in total, with the first serving domestic and international football teams as a training and competition area and the second providing a place for the interaction between footballers and fans.

The project is scheduled to last 3 years and will start operation in 2018.
