A Sino-Belarusian Philosophy and Culture Research Center setup by Lingnan Normal University (LNU) and the Institute of Philosophy of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) was established in Zhanjiang on Sept 27.
China has a universal value and historical wisdom regarding world philosophy, and with the establishment of the research center, the two countries will further ramp up the cooperation in economy, culture and philosophy, said Anatoly A. Lazarevich, director of the Institute of Physiology of NASB.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will focus on conducting academic research and exchanges in Chinese, western and Marxist philosophies, while fostering high-caliber talents such as postgraduate and PhD students.
High-level academic forums on Sino-Belarusian philosophy and culture will also be held, as well as academic discussions themed on the Belt & Road Initiative, Belarusian society and culture, traditional culture and modernization construction.
The Institute of Philosophy of NASB is a time-honored research institution with strong scientific research ability. With the historic opportunities brought by the Belt & Road Initiative, the Sino-Belarusian research center is expected to become a key platform of cultural exchanges between the two countries, said Liu Minggui, president of LNU.
