Things you can't miss at the Zhanjiang-ASEAN Agriculture Trade Fair

The first Zhanjiang-ASEAN Agriculture Trade Fair opened at the Zhanjiang International Convention Center, Guangdong province on June 2. The four-day event is considered an influential platform for exchanges between Zhanjiang and ASEAN members. Let's take a look at the highlights of the event.
Participants
With floorage of 20,000 square meters, the fair features three exhibition areas, including a flower technology park and a lychee festival exhibition hall.
Participants include Thailand Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Committee, Guangdong Association of Leading Enterprises in Agricultural Industrialization, Guangdong Tea Association and more than 500 enterprises from across China.
Projects
The fair aims to deepen the exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN countries on special agricultural products, processing, logistics, services, market and talents.
While demonstrating Zhanjiang's advantages via words, photos, videos, models and exhibits, the fair provides a platform for Zhanjiang and ASEAN members to seek mutual benefits and win-win results.
More than 200 overseas enterprises are attending the fair, including some from Thailand, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, in hopes of signing cooperation agreements on fruit, tea, wine and art crafts.
E-commerce business
The fair set up an exhibition hall featuring Internet Plus creative agriculture, and showcasing agricultural service information, new media, e-commerce business and creative products.
Big-name companies such as JD and Alibaba are expected to show their mobile and information technologies at the hall, providing better insight into modern agricultural technologies for farmers.
Business opportunities
A number of dealers and purchasers of flowers, fresh produce, edible fungus, and aquatic products and crops were invited to the fair, which is providing an efficient platform to bridge the gap between sellers and buyers.
Meanwhile, the fair is expected to host a dozen high-end meetings, including the China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Tea Industry Development Forum, Guangdong Agricultural Leading Enterprise Innovation and Development Seminar, Agricultural Enterprise Capital Operation Lecture, Cross-strait Agricultural Tourism Forum and a summit on drones, in a bid to promote trade and business ties with ASEAN states.
Activities
Plenty of well-known provincial brand products are on display at a food festival, including chicken, fruit, tea and other food products. The fair is also expected to host a dozen activities such as a flower show, an art crafts exhibition, a countryside tourist culture show and farmhouse sightseeing.
