There has been an increase in the number of students who took the gaokao, the national college entrance exam, in Zhanjiang this year.

A total of 71,026 students in Zhanjiang took the gaokao this year, which kicked off on June 7. The number is 757 more than that of last year, reaching a historical high.

As tens of thousands of students took the gaokao, Zhanjiang officials successfully took all the necessary measures for the best management of the decisive exam days.

The municipal government has mobilized different departments for the smooth operation of the two-day exam, which represents a crucial milestone in the lives of gaokao candidates in Zhanjiang.
