Representatives from the India Office of CGGC called on the Chief Minister of Telangana recently to introduce and promote CGGC from all aspects. They thoroughly discussed the cooperation on infrastructure construction projects with state officials at different levels on the visit.
Telangana, newly formed after its isolation from the original Andhra Pradesh on June 2nd, 2014, ranks 11th among 29 states in India based on the GDP. Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, is regarded as Indian 6th largest city with vigorous economic development.
On april 8th, K. Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Miniter of Telangana, ardently met with people from CGGC's India Office together with ministers of Irrigation and Transportation. The Office representatives introduced the CGGC's growth process and the specific situation of large-scale infrastructure construction projects in detail and, especially the performance of South-to-North Water Diversion Project, expressed on behalf of CGGC the expectation and intention to take part in the infrastructure construction in Telangana. On the 3-hr meeting, Chief Minister said that CGGC, an oversized company engaged in infrastructure construction in China, had undertaken many water conservancy and hydropower projects in large scale such as Gezhouba, the Three Gorges and South-to-North Water Diversion one after another, gaining amazing accomplishments in the aspect of engineering implementation. Chief Minister believed that Telangana should speed up its construction in the field of agricultural irrigation and urban communications and transportation, and he expected to have CGGC positively join in the construction of this state and devote to the local development.
On April 9th, Chief Minister hosted a conference which was attended by Irrigation Ministry of the state and CGGC India Office. After the discussion on how to involve CGGC in the irrigation project calling for bids now in Telangana, he hoped that CGGC, relying on its powerful capability of implementation, could ensure quality and completion as scheduled of the project to benefit the local people as early as possible.
Telangana News Station, Hyderabad TV Station and Hyderabad Times Newspaper and many other media reported the meeting of CGGC and Chief Minister, which greatly strengthen CGGC's influence in the state and created favorable conditions for its follow-up market expansion in this region.
