On March 3, Ecuador President Rafael Correa investigated Project of Mirador Copper Mine undertaken by CGGC No.2 Engineering Company. He encouraged CGGC constructors to implement the Project in high quality and speedy way with contribution to the improvement of local economic development.
President Correa expressed his cordial greetings to onsite CGGC employees, both Ecuadorian and Chinese, when he visited the permanent camp of Mirador Copper Mine under construction. "Project of Mirador Copper Mine will effectively enhance the economic and social development in Zamora-Chinchipe Province and even extremely accelerate the overall growth of Ecuador mining industry", said President Correa.
It is reported that Project of Mirador Copper Mine is the first large project of solid mineral exploitation in Ecuador, among which the permanent camp and the contractor camp fall in contract with CGGC. Since the commencement of the project, CGGC has been highly regarded by the owner, attributed to its undoubtable performing capacity. There are broad perspectives for cooperation in respect to Project of Mirador Copper Mine as the bidding procedures will soon begin for subsequent large-scale engineering projects such as hydro-power stations and ports.
