From August 29 to 31, 2015, Ren Jianguo, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of CGGC paid a courtesy call in Havana, capital of Cuba on Goberto Aenoir, Asian and Oceania Chief of MINCEX and Zhang Tuo, Ambassador of China to Cuba respectively.

Ren Jianguo introduced the development process, business scope, strength of investment and financing of CGGC as well as market development status and management situation of projects under construction in South America and Caribbean Region and made detailed report on the latest progress of such representative projects in the region as Argentina Kisseih Hydropower Station to Asia Chief of Ministry of Foreign Trade of Cuba and Ambassador of China to Cuba. Ren Jianguo said that Cuba is an important country and is also a significant market development center of CGGC in Caribbean Region. With the improvement of international political environment and advancement of domestic economic reform, Cuba has ushered in more historical development opportunities and CGGC is willing to give full play to the excellent strength of it in global infrastructure construction field and participate in social and economic development of Cuba in an attempt to benefit production and life of citizens of Cuba.

Chief Aenoir and Ambassador Zhang Tuo extended warm welcome for Ren Jianguo’s visit, expressed admiration to powerful technological strength and investment and financing strength of CGGC and showed great praise for achievements fulfilled in terms of carrying out international businesses, operation and management in South America and Caribbean Region in particular. Chief Aenoir explained specifically investment and financing policies and relevant laws of Cuba and said that operation and development of CGGC in Cuba is greatly expected by Cuba Government and teams of CGGC is eagerly anticipated for field visit for project information and pearly participation of CGGC in infrastructure investment and financing construction of Cuba so as to benefit citizens of Cuba. Zhang Tuo said that as Cuba opens up to the external world gradually, China and Cuba are witnessing increasingly close bilateral economic and trade exchange and will anticipate broader cooperation space in infrastructure construction field in the future and the embassy will provide full support and help for CGGC’s deeply exploration and long-term development in Cuba market; CGGC is expected to seize the opportunities to fulfill more achievements and make contributions to consolidate traditional friendship between China and Cuba.
