Gansu holds rites of initiation for middle school students

A total of 1,230 students in Pingliang city's No 1 Middle School in Gansu province took part in their rites of initiation on April 26.

Students wearing "adults' hats" pledged under the national flag and participated in activities such as putting in wish cards.

The activity also commemorated China's Youth Day which falls on May 4.
