Tao Shiqing, a 60-year-old farmer from Gaolan county of Northwest China's Gansu province, spent 10 years stippling the episodes of the Chinese classical novel The Dream of Red Mansions on flagstones. It is estimated that Tao needs to tap over 150 - 160 million points on the stone with a metal bar to complete a picture, which generally takes 11 months. The Dream of the Red Mansions, composed by Cao Xueqin, is one of China's four great classical novels. [Photo/Chinanews.com] |
