The famous Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes in Gansu province added a new service in August of 2014, to cater to tourist needs by catering to their furry friends' needs.
The scenic spot has given temporary accommodations to more than 100 pets.
In commenting on the service, one tourist from Henan province, Shen Weiwei, who visited Gansu with her pet dog past July, said she was disappointed when her pet was not allowed in, but the staff at the scenic spot helped look after her dog, so she said, "It's really considerate of them to help visitors take care of their pets and it makes me enjoy visiting the Grottoes."
Other scenic spots that are making room for furry visitors are Xuanwu Lake in the city of Nanjing, and the town of Wuzhen, in Zhejiang province.
