Gansu students enjoy colorful extracurricular activities

Students practice Chinese martial arts at the youth palace in Jinchuang district on April 21.Jinchang city in Gansu province opened a village youth palace for rural students and children of migrant workers to develop their extracurricular interests, in 2014.The youth palace is located in Jinchuang district's Second Primary School where most students come from the rural areas and migrant families. It is equipped with a host of instruments and sports equipment. Around 24 student clubs have been established so far, including painting, handcraft work and paper cutting clubs. School teachers are on hand to offer guidance to students at the youth palace and students of other schools have access to the youth palace at weekends.[Photo/xinhuanet.com] |
