Gansu province's Intellectual Property Office and its Education Bureau have published a paper on how to improve intellectual property awareness at colleges and universities, and said this January that they want to encourage students to be more innovative.
They are asking colleges and universities to establish incentive funds to protect intellectual property rights and are suggesting that schools cooperate with companies in supporting students and teachers in R&D, and to offer electives and training on intellectual property rights.
