Lanzhou hosts Sino Shaoshang Business Association Summit

 The Sino-Shaoshang Business Association held its Lanzhou Summit, on July 29, in the city of Lanzhou , Gansu province, where four cooperation agreements with Yuzhong county, Gansu province, were signed In addition, and the association established a northwest industrial development committee.

The theme of the one-day event was “SSBA supports Shaoyang [Hunan province] business development and expanding business in northwest China”, with the vice-chairman of the National Policy and Science Research Association, Zhao Shen, and heads of the association on hand to address the gathering. Its sponsors were the association, the Shaoyang Chamber of Commerce in Lanzhou, and the Lanzhou Industry and Commerce Federation.

The association, established this past January 8, represents more than 55 Shaoyang chambers of commerce and about 28,000 enterprises around the world, including the chambers of commerce of the United States, Canada, and Laos. It deals with 2.6 trillion yuan in assets ($420 billion ).

Lanzhou, which sits astride the Silk Road, is the perfect place for the association and its chairman, Zhang Hui, has remarked, “Lanzhou’s geographic position favors the Shao businessmen in exploring the world and its markets via the Silk Road.”
