7 Shanghai seniors retrace Long March

Seven Shanghai seniors, aged 58 to 68, retraced the Long March on May 29, ending at Huining county in Baiyin city, Northwest China’s Gansu province, a Red Army revolutionary site, Gansu Daily reported. The seven seniors are cycling team members from Shanghai.
On May 9, after arriving at Ruijin city, Jiangxi province, they started their Long March travel via Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces. They finally made it to Huining, the joint site of three main forces of the Red Army.
The seniors visited the victory memorial of the Red Army’s Long March, the old site of the Red Army’s get-together, the general monuments and other revolutionary sites to re-experience history.They learned about the Long March history and route at the memorial.
Qu Xuecheng, one of the seniors, said the protection and use of the Red sites and relics in Huining are the best among the places they had passed. He expressed his gratitude to the Red resources preserved in Huining.
