Construction of the new Pingtan public health complex, which started in June 2016, is expected to be completed by the end of this year, according to the Pingtan bureau of health and family planning.

Located on Haitan East Road, the 10,000-square-meter complex shall be composed of two buildings: A health inspection building and a research center for the Pingtan Disease Prevention and Control Center.
