Pingtan seeks cooperation with World Trade Centers Association

Zhang Zhaomin, secretary of Pingtan's Party working committee, met with Ghazi Abu Nahl, chairman of the World Trade Centers Association, in Xiamen, Fujian province, on Sept 8, the first day of the 19th China International Fair for Investment and Trade.
Zhang introduced Pingtan's recent development to the chairman and said that the area has made huge progress in the areas of transportation and industrial development.
Zhang also stated that Pingtan has bright prospects and enjoys various preferential policies, due to its goal of becoming an international tourist destination and its status from playing an important role in cross-Straits cooperation.
Ghazi Abu Nahl considered Pingtan quite appealing to investors, as it has beautiful scenery and a favorable location close to Taiwan. Also, with the support of the Chinese government, the chairman thought that the area would become more competitive in infrastructure and tourism.
The two leaders discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation at the meeting.
