Some 10 enterprises from Pingtan, Fujian province – including two Taiwan-funded enterprises – displayed their latest technology and products at the 14th China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair, held in Fuzhou on June 18-21, attracting many visitors. .
The fair, hosted annually, has become a platform to promote independent innovations and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievement into real productivity.
About 22 technological projects were on display and had a combined investment of 2 billion yuan ($304 million), an increase of 6.9 percent compared to last year.
The Pingtan pavilion, with the theme of "Building a Platform for Cooperation with Taiwan", presented the development of Pingtan through various aspects, including high-tech industrial parks, cross-border e-commerce, Internet economy, marine economy, financial services and preferential policies.
Local authorities said Pingtan has taken full advantage of the fair to meet the technological demands of enterprises and provide channels for technological transformation in recent years.
